KIMBERLY GIANGTRAN - Campus Wide Senator
Overflow housing, displacing students off-campus, and large waitlists are all symptoms of an underlying problem: over-enrollment. UCSD has ambitious plans to eventually have ten colleges and 30,000 beds by 2030. While this vision is great, we, the current students of UCSD, are paying the price. With my experience as the current First Year Senator and as a former Board Member of a school district, as your Campus-Wide Senator, I will actively work with the administration to demand that they focus on us, who are currently enrolled here, and not so much on the future. |

YUSUF ALTIMIMI - Transfer Senator
Hi! My name is Yusuf and I'm a first-year transfer looking to bring tangible, beneficial, and impactful change to the UCSD community. As transfer senator, I seek to expand resources that give students the ability to hit the ground running by providing a dedicated transfer resource center. Students need a quiet and peaceful space to recalibrate and de-stress. But how can that happen when there isn't adequate space? UCSD needs to better support us transfers, and I will advocate for us to administration for expansions to the contemplation lounge. |
